Battle Mages is a visual novel styled adult MMORPG with roguelite elements where players can play out fantasies together or go on fantasy adventures of their own. In the magical world of Battle Mages, becoming who you always wanted to be is easy, but staying that person becomes an ever-growing challenge as you venture deeper into a world that seeks to tempt you with an easy life of pleasure and shape your mind and body to its whims.

Players who enjoy a little more risk can allow for bad endings, where they might lose their character to a blissful fate as someone's sex toy, favorite possession, or some other exciting fate. When taking risks, whether successfully or to their downfall, the game rewards the player with fortune cards to spend when creating their next character, which allows them to enter the game with unique backgrounds and traits that unlock special reactions and encounters. Ever wanted to play as an heir to a rich family? A princess? A member of a magical race? —Or maybe you got hit with some unseemly curses on your way to the academy?

The game sports a variety of locations, outfits, toys, spells, themes, and other tools to help facilitate roleplay and allow players to create the narrative and fantasy they desire. The academy exists in a world not unlike our own, just out of sight, and where virtually anything is possible by either harnessing or bending the natural laws surrounding us. The academy has something to offer for most, whether they prefer a more magic or science-heavy fantasy.

History

The creator of Battle Mages set out to create a dating game where players would date each other instead of set characters in the world, by facilitating roleplay between players. In April of 2019 a prototype of the game was made available to the public and it became the first game of its kind: A dating MMORPG.
